Compete à Comissão de Saúde tratar de proposições relativas à saúde pública, profilaxia sanitária em todos os seus aspectos, infraestrutura hospitalar, clínica e similar, educação relacionada à saúde, atividades médicas, odontológicas e paramédicas, ação preventiva e controle de endemias e epidemias, controle de psicotrópicos, medicamentos e alimentos.
